Centerpiece

This topic came up with some buddies the other day and I hadn't put much thought into it before. When I think of a centerpiece, I think of my a card or item that is the center of what I collect and not necessarily value. I love deadball, I love Cobb and I do appreciate rarity and have become more enamored with PCs over the part years so I chose what I did. Centerpieces could refer to anything like childhood cards or a special gift, but this is how I defined it for myself. Anyone else?

If I had to pick one item, it would be the Plank in my avatar. But when I show my collection, my Merkle back run is the thing that means the most to me.
Sorry, but it's too large to post in this space. |

I just wish ballplayers would bring those hairstyles and apparel back

My most valuable card is a M101-5 Famous & Barr Babe Ruth. t my favorite card, which I guess is my centerpiece is a 1961 Mickey Mantle. The Mantle was the first card my dad bought me at a baseball card shop in a mall. Which started my hobby in the late 80's. I have since sold 99% of my cards so I could be house poor, but still have the mantle.

My Columbus Solons OJ subset is my centerpiece. Since getting my first Columbus OJ my entire collection took on a Columbus Ohio baseball theme. Of that set, my recently acquired Spud Johnson holds the top spot.
