Hi guys! Welcome to the SS holiday exchange!

WE ARE CLOSED

Here is the rules and timeline:

1. Nov 30th is the cutoff to enter.

2. Gifts should be sent on or before December 10th (Make sure it gets there on time!!!!!!!)

3. Gifts should be valued at $25 or greater. I will do my best to give each SS their interests for both giving and receiving.

4. When sending the gift add "N54SS" somewhere visible so it is not opened early! Please open gifts on or after the 25th.

What you can give should be fairly similar to what you would like to receive. There are no guarantees you will get exactly what you want but I will do my best to match up individuals with similar interests.

For me, I love getting even junk unopened baseball packs to open -- obviously better packs or boxes are really liked.

Nothing is more fun than busting wax and that even includes blaster boxes from places such as Wally World or Target,.

Also, I'm fine with any pre-70 cards, certified autographs or relic cards from licensed major manufacturers. Condition not an issue in pre-70 -- can even be well loved

I really only have sports paper items (everything but cards). I have books, pubs, photos, some 1950's and 1960's beater cards and lots more but no tobacco (and I honestly don't think that I will start to collect anytime soon).

Is there a place for me?

I do not think anyone should be worried about what they can give, I will do my best to match with someone similar and I believe and hope everyone will be happy.

If I choose to participate, can I receive an exemption to this requirement? Reason is because I'm cheap, and I'd like to get more out of this than I put into it. To that end I would naturally want the person assigned to buy me a gift to be held to the $25 minimum rule despite my seeking a waiver from it.

I'll waive the minimum to $12.50 if you send out two gifts. :D

To put this thread back on the front page. We have significantly less people invovled thank Blowout (I'm not in that one); CU (Am in that one -- already pulled out gifts) amd Beckett (Am in that one, alread pulled out gifts)

C'mon lets show Net 54 has the most generious users.

CU got 40 people in such a short time it is insane. I thought net54 had a lot more active participants.

Why of course I'm in...have been waiting until I had time to conjure my want and give list, but will send that info this weekend. I enjoyed participating last year. I think following Thanksgiving we should see more people getting into the mood.

The one thing I'd recommend doing is closing this earlier so that we can find something they will like n have a lil more time. But that's my own opinion I've done these before held my own n usually more time to find something is better.

I say close on November 27th
 

And allow 10 days to buy and receive items (including for most of us the T-Day break) with items to be shipped by December 8th to allow for xmas delivery.

Yeah I'm a little worfied cause what my guy collects isn't what I collected so I got together everything I had that was close to what he wanted. Hope there is something in there he likes :)

I obviously don't know who got me, but the person who got me shouldn't worry about it so much. I am very eclectic with my collection and it was hard for me to say my collecting focus, because I am not focused. I categorize myself a type collector because it is the closest to the truth. I have tried some sets but never stuck to one. I have autographs and other memorabila in my collection as well.

I think as long as you put thought into your gift you are in the spirit of the giving and that is all that matters. :D

Guys, try not to worry too much about what is being sent. This is more so the spirit of giving where some people may get something they can trade later for stuff they want and some guys will get exactly what they wanted. I am helping someone out on a gift and will have it out within the next couple days.

Has anyone received their Secret Santa gift yet? I know I am suppose to hold it until Christmas morning but I am looking forward to receiving it to put next to the tree (not under though, because the kids would try to open it).

I sent my Secret Santa gift out last Saturday.

Mine came in the mail today, put under the tree. Waiting till Xmas to open.

Mine went out today via Priority Mail.

Im waiting gifts from 2 secret sants (Beckett and Net 54) and I received a 2006 Topps Heritage Box from a James Hill in Waco Tx who wrote GCX on the box, never mind I figured this out.

My beckett SS gift has arrived. The last one to arrive will be the Net 54 package, which is fine since the shipment was later on this than on other boards

I sent my gift on Monday & received one today. I have never been able to wait so I am really enjoying my new T206! When I get my new scanner for Christmas I will post pics. Thank you to my secret santa.

I told my wife I really wanted to open mine. She told me to go ahead and open it then. I made her aware it is against the rules, but it is very tempting.

My wife likely bought me the scanner & she won't allow me to open it early. HAHA

I just shipped out my Secret Santa gift this afternoon. :)
