Friendly bump. I think about 1 out of approximately 20+ bids is still holding. I don't expect it to stay that way though :(
. |
I keep getting outbid messages!! LOL.....only a few left and then I won't get them anymore. (until closing night :()
. |
Dear esteemed colleagues of Net54-
Please stop bidding on the two remaining lots I'm going after, I don't think its too much to ask... |

Lot of strong prices for sure. I'm hoping to walk away with 1-3 lots. But wouldn't be surprised with 0. ;) |
Good luck to all in the mix tonight, I'll light a candle next Sunday for the pocketbooks of any members going after the high grade E93's.

Yes, it won't let me on to bid. Annoying as hell. Get your shit together REA
At midnight Eastern sharp it stopped taking my bids, cannot currently get back into auction. Seems the 10-minute rule is overwhelming the server(s).
This is so annoying. Watch, they'll extend bidding for another day because of this. My prediction.
Same for me....and with every lot closing individually either the auction is going to end at 12:10 or they are going to have to extend it.
Problems too
The wheel is spinning. I think it is going to be a long night.
REA bought Goldin's old on-prem servers, after Goldin migrated to the cloud :(
Will not load for me. Thomas Church
I got bids in at 9:02 and 9:04 (EDT). But feared this would happen.
Now service is unavailable (sigh)
I can’t bid
bugga!
Just got off phone with REA

I have to go to bed, gang. It was fun, with the build-up and all. See you guys next time. |
Yep, got booted off and can't get back in

I hope REA considers moving their auctions to Saturday night. Staying up this late to start the workweek is tough enough as it is before technical problems.

These outages benefit the AH and consigners. |

I'm watching a movie so I will be up for a bit since tomorrow is a State holiday...Confederate Memorial Day (Yes Alabama still recognizes this as a holiday...go figure) I will check email once movie is over |
Just got this in an email:
There have been reports of intermittent access issues to the site. We are aware of these issues and are working to resolve them rapidly. The auction will be extended for the amount of down time. Lots will temporarily display as closed. They will be reopened once resolved. Please stay tuned to your email for updates. |
Can someone post the new bidding instructions here when they come out? I don’t have access to email right now, thank you.
I just got back into the auction. Anyone else?
Hmm. Back in, but the 10 minute clock closed.
Now I got back on but all the lots (at least the ones I was bidding on) show as closed now. I got sniped on one too right before the outage.

There's got to be a better way to close these auctions...basically, the auction doesn't really even start until midnight...and then everyone who's serious about winning is gonna wait until about 3 minutes left in the "10 minute window" to all place bids at the same time. Who couldn't have seen the site crash at 12:07 coming?
I am back on but all lots are displaying as Sold so I don't think bidding has resumed yet.
Yes back on REA site...all lots closed
Rea
They sent a message saying that bidding would reopen shortly. (Bit that all lots would appear “closed” temporarily.

All the closed notices for the individual lots indicate the auction ended at 12:29 A.M. Perhaps that's when it will re-open for bidding with the 10-minute clock.
looks like it all ended while I was joking around on here. Good luck, y'all.

Good thing they went 17 days and provided 50 or so status emails when they had to know, as has been the case for years, that bidding takes off at the end no matter when you set it. Way to be prepared for the stretch run. |
show as "open" now for me
Rea
The auction has ended. All items are being reported as Sold.
Bids back open right now
And, open.

Able to bid now |
Rock 'n' Roll!
Closing times keeps changing for all lots I have bid on even though there haven't been any recent bids. Now they all show 12:42:02. Before they were 12:33 then 12:36:30.
The timers don't seem to be working right. Or maybe they reset with a bid.
They keep pushing the closing times out (even if no additional bids are being placed). WTH?
Now everything is closing at 12:47:56.
I’m throwing the BS flag on that. I was the high bidder on two when the first “revised” clock would have shit down. Now everything resets?
Quote:
They just pushed the times out again... despite no additional bids being made. Wasn't the auction supposed to close "lot by let" at this stage???
Imagine if you went to bed at 12:30 confident you had won a lot you really wanted because the auction website said it was closed and you were the winner. But then you're not. That's gotta suck.
I take it from their email that when they said the down time would be added they meant the total time that no one could get on would be added, and because that was more than ten minutes, they are doing it in some sort of blocks.
Quote:
Closing times pushed out again to 12:55:00.
Now mine froze on a lot that was closing in two minutes. When I got back on it to bid it said had closed. Beautiful.
