Honestly, its not my money so I don't care, you brought the subject up. Do you realize many team sign players to deferred contracts or do you only shit on NY teams?

Sorry, what was that? I was just watching the Jets lose, and about to watch the Giants lose.

Then tomorrow I'm gonna watch the 2 teams that left New York (very wise moves) play to most likely decide this years World Series winner.

Thus making it their 5th Title in the last 20 years for 2 teams who left NY to 1 Title for the 2 teams who stayed in NY.

5 is still better then 1 right? I don't know, I'm a little unhinged, and not great at math.

I only shit on NY teams.

I believe the Mets have the highest Beer and Concession prices as well, so you might want to care.

Unless you're going to Mets games, why would you even care what they charge?

So the Mets have the most expensive concessions because they have to pay Bonilla his $1 million per year? lol

Yeah, that must be it. Not to mention the parking charges.

frankbmd 10-11-2021 09:08 AM

The Mets could have "Bonilla Days" at the Citi Field when the team is on road trips. These would be picnics in the outfield serving hot dogs and beer at the usual prices along with selling Bonilla jerseys and autographs, accompanied by a continuous playing of Frank Sinatra's rendition of "New York, New York" on the PA system.

"Bonus Bonilla Days" could be added sporadically with Bobby in attendance wandering around the outfield thanking his fans and being photographed with them and their "Bonilla babies", who later in life will never understand why the picture was taken and who this Bonilla character was. Nor will they understand who Sinatra was.

This will allow the Mets to reduce parking and concession prices during actual home games. Problem solved.

In the event that Bobby passes before his salary is paid in full, expect to see
surcharges for ketchup and mustard on those $10.00 dogs to offset the elimination of "Bonus Bonilla Days" from the schedule.

Sounds like good family fun. Can I pay with Bonilla Bucks?

A+ trolling on this thread, Paul. So what happened on your trip to NY? They give you incorrect change at the Times Square M&M store? Did some mean cab driver honk at you on your way to the Olive Garden? It's OK, you can talk about it.

I bet someone sold him tickets to the Staten Island Ferry.

Ummm ... did everybody here forget about what the Giants did? They beat TOM BRADY in the Super Bowl TWICE!

They did.

The defense was prone to getting burned on long passes. What was odd is that it looked like nobody else caught on.
Clint Longley would have wrecked the pats those years. ;)
I felt bad the team I like lost, but the Giants played really well and got a couple special plays.

What was also odd is that they were very average or worse most other years.

On the David Tyree play, it was ridiculous that the Patriots did not sack Manning.

Which team won't finish in last place this year?

Jets or Giants?

Does Jones know what day of the week it is yet?

THUS NY IS THE CITY OF LOSERS! This is not a discussion, it's a fact.

As for the Giants 2 Titles, yes I mentioned that earlier in the thread, 2 of NY 3 titles in the past 20 year, only 1 less then San Antonio who has 1 team, not 8.

Why leave out Minneapolis?

Twins haven't won in 30 years
Timberwolves haven't won in 30 years (never)
Wild hasn't won in 20 years (never)
Vikings haven't won in 60 years (never)

I would love to have the history of the New York teams, personally.

Carter08 10-14-2021 04:48 AM

The Bills will redeem NY.

Frank was being a card in post 109. Does that count? :D

Going back a little further, but Mattingly had to leave NY to get a title too:
