That Musial is my favorite postwar card, and what great centering on all of those!

I think I've been busted on my propensity for centering!

The Musial was a Heritage win from their last major auction. It's an upgrade to my PSA 5 that I will put up on the BST soon. The Musial is definitely one of the great postwar cards, to be sure. Thanks for the kind comments!

Love that kind of stuff. And, that is a great selection of players and cards on that grouping. The '76 Brock is one of those cards that represent the set and the era to me.

Baseball cards and Christmas have been a family tradition in my home since my father first put a wax pack box under our tree in 1970. With this 1959 Bob Gibson Rookie my Dad has extended his streak to 46 years. My wife and kids gave me an EBay gift card for Christmas with instructions to use it for baseball cards. The 56 Koufax is courtesy of them. I have wanted both of these cards for a very long time. I remain a child at heart...a very very blessed child:o I hope you and your family had a great Christmas.

Nice Christmas present, and nice to see you appreciate the efforts. Congrats.

I am blessed too. My youngest daughter picked these up for me for Christmas. Her efforts are sincerely appreciated.

Hey Mike-

Would your parents consider adopting me?

I am house-broken and sleep through the night.

Such a great story, thank you for sharing it and the cards. A couple of years ago my wife gave me my dream card, a gorgeous Unitas RC, for Christmas and it means even more to me having acquired it that way rather than purchase. Your Dad has accomplished making cards a tradition and that transcends the hobby by far.

Bob, Your daughter has great taste. You too are a very lucky man. Rob and Robbie, thanks for the nice comments. I'm not a very wealthy man financially. However, when it comes to family blessings I would make the Forbes list of the wealthiest men alive.

RayB and Neal, Thanks for the comments. I have searched for 3 years to find a mid-grade example like this one. I am closing in on finishing my Willie Topps run. I have the 53, 64, 67 and 73 to go. Most of my Mays cards are in the 3-6 range.

there is a 1964 Mays SGC 84 in the Sterling auction that is really nice ... could go cheap. Cross it over!

A late Christmas gift to myself. Maybe an EX card, bright colors and gloss, nice centering. I had one of these back in the 1980's as a kid when it was maybe a $25 card, but traded it away. Always loved Roberto's batting pose on this, in contrast to the many other portrait shots that were used on '58 Topps.

Very nice cards, SFMS!

That Hodges is a tough card to find centered it seems!
