The Brooklyn Old Mill I got early on but it is the toughest of the Brooklyns but not terrible.

Hi Jeff

Dramatic Dahlen runs....both Boston and Brooklyn. Especially the Boston version, since it is one of the Elite 11 guys.

Thanks for posting them.

And I sold my beater Uzit last year…..hahaha. Not sure why I thought I could do his backrun for Chi/Bos but I gave up on it pretty quick.

Beautiful card Ryan…..

I could say completing this Breitenstein run was an easy one with only four T206 cards. But, it was not.
His 1910 COUPON card was very tough to find.

Honestly, the Old Mill was much tougher than the Hindu. Purchased the Hindu from a Net54 member.
Also the first Piedmont 150 here (now in a PSA 5 holder) was the first T206 card I ever purchased way back in 1989.

Another "running mate" of the Exclusive 12 group in the 460-only Series. The only three cards I need to complete this run are the EPDG, TOLSTOI, and UZIT backs.

My first T206 was an Oscar Stanage SC F30(?). My Dad got it for me when I was a kid. I have been working on a run and need Broadleaf and Tolstoi.

I was able to pick up a beat up Carolina Brights and Cycle. I figured the Tolstoi would be reasonable and the Broadleaf a dream (like the T205 Hindu).

I was wrong. I popped up on eBay for around $1,500. I may be at the end of the road for my Stanage runs.

And here we have Germany Schaefer. Quite a character during his BB career. Read all about him in his SABR story. You'll find it very interesting.
I started this run in 1987 when I acquired my first UZIT, which was this Germany Schaefer. I paid only $15 for it at the Cooperstown HOF Show.

I still need his CYCLE 460 and TOLSTOI cards. I have never seen this Schaefer with an EPDG back ? I do not think this front/back combo exists.

I've included his 1915 T213-2 card, which incorrectly identifies him with K.C. (Federal League). Actually, Schaefer played with Newark in 1915.

Frank Delahanty is my favorite T206 Minor Leaguer. I started a run of his cards several years ago. I still need the CB.

In 2008, at the Philly Show in Reading, PA....... Toby (bigfish) " Made My Day ! ". Toby sold me this Delahanty DRUM,
which completed my first A - B - C - D sub-set. As of today, this DRUM card is still unique.

The A - B - C - D connection in the 350-only Series is a pattern I first came up with approx. 14 years ago.

Hi Adam

Were fine here in Pennsy. How's everything in NC ?

You are the first on my list to contact, if I have any extra AB 460 cards. But, I haven't had any extras lately, other than from the Exclusive 12 group, (which I know you have).

Furthermore, on ebay this past year the only AB's I see listed are 350's (Frame or no Frame). And at the Philly Show, the AB 460's have become quite rare there, too.

Take care Adam....I look forward to seeing you in A/C this July.

Furthermore, illustrated here is my A - B - C - C - D sub-set, which includes a 1910 COUPON card. Note that this COUPON back's
stylized design resembles that of the A - B - C - D connection. And tells us that the same American Lithographic artist created all 5
of these backs during the 350-only Series print runs (circa Spring / Summer of 1910).

For example.... the blue Chase is my favorite T206 subject. If a DRUM card of this Chase ever shows up, I may be able to complete
my first A - B - C - C - D sub-set.

I've had a tough time finding John Frill with AMERICAN BEAUTY 460 and CYCLE 460 backs. It's not easy doing a T206 run of him.

Post #64 in this thread illustrates my first T206 complete A - B - C - D sub-set......

In parallel with the T206 A - B - C - D runs, I was doing my NY Highlanders T205 runs. While in this process, I realized that American Lithographic
partially repeated the A - B - C - D connection in the T205 set.

From my experience working on these T205 runs, I gained an appreciation for certain printing patterns of the T205 cards. Examples of these are....

1st....is that American Lithographic printed exactly 32 subjects with the A - B - C - D connection.

2nd....the A - B - C - D cards and the AMERICAN BEAUTY (Green) cards are Mutually-Exclusive.

And....HINDU cards and DRUM cards are Mutually-Exclusive.

My Harry Wolter is one of the NY Highlanders printed in the A - B - C - D group. I believe this Wolter run is complete with 11 cards.
The HONEST LONG CUT back and the two HASSAN backs are "hiding" somewhere in my archives. I will post them when I find them.

My favorite T205 run is Miller Huggins. As a lifetime Yankees fan, I admire how he managed the most powerful team in Baseball. And, he was able to accomplish this
because he had a keen sense of recognizing talent. Most notably by persuading Col. Jacob Ruppert (Yankees owner) to acquire Babe Ruth from Boston in 1919. And,
"The rest is history."

This display begins with the very rare PIEDMONT Factory #42

Being a T206 Front/Back collector is difficult, no matter what. But what was even more difficult was assembling a set of cards that shouldn’t have existed. I started searching in 2012 and found my first card on 4/10/2014. I managed to purchase most of the 28 card set during 2015-2016 when a decent amount of them were sold on eBay. Only 27 of the 28 cards turned up during that time period. I found my last card on 7/5/2017 and that was the Nap Lajoie card. I had a lot of fun completing this extremely difficult error subset that missed the scroll overprint that covered the Factory 30 and added the Factory 42 at the bottom of the card. These cards are sometimes referred to as “No Prints”.

Continuing this T205 "running game" with John Lobert. Excuse the pun, but did you guys know that Lobert was one of the fastest runners in Baseball ?
Circa 1913, Lobert defeated Jim Thorpe in a 100-yard dash at the Polo Grounds.
Actually I put this run together for my wife....she is the Phillies fan in our family. The secret to having a wife appreciate your BB card hobby is that she,
too, has a collecting hobby which you appreciate (i.e....antique pottery and iridescent glassware, circa 1905 - 1920).

Just as the Huggins, Quinn and Wolter cards, the John Lobert card is also in the group of the A - B - C - D connection. And, like Huggins, Lobert's DRUM
card has not been confirmed. Furthermore, I have not seen Lobert with either of the HASSAN backs nor PIEDMONT #42. For now it appears that this run
is complete.

In his 2006 book titled "Inside T206", Scot Reader identifies the 6 guys displayed here as the "SUPER-PRINTS". Scot Reader's excellent research
revealed that these six subjects were printed in greater quantities (and with more Tobacco brands) than any other T206 subjects in this set.

These six T206's fascinate me, simply because American Lithographic (ALC) introduced a new Series in the T206 print runs....the 350/460 Series.
ALC originally printed these six subjects in an early 350-only Series print run. Subsequently, ALC selected these 6 subjects (perhaps due to popular
demand) to be printed with SOVEREIGN 460 backs. Then continued printing them during the 460 series print runs with a variety of 460-type backs.

What has always puzzled me is: Why two Chase poses ? They chose the popular Chance and Evers, so why not Tinker (instead of a 2nd Chase) ? ?
Perhaps, someone on this forum has a meaningful answer to that question.

Please note: that the SOVEREIGN 460 versions of these 6 subjects are very tough to find relative to the regular 46 subjects in the 460-only Series.

Shown here are the Six Super-Prints with their SOVEREIGN 350 backs and their SOVEREIGN 460 backs......

The Red Cobb with the SOVEREIGN 460 back is very, very tough to find.

Tell us of your challenging experience(s) working on T206 runs

Speaking about the Six Super Prints....one of the most challenging experiences for me doing T206 runs was acquiring these guys. However, the Cobb
in this case was not the toughest one....the Chance was the toughest one.

The Six Super Prints are seldom seen with the 1910 COUPON advertisement.

There is something about the Red-White-Blue colors of the Boston Buck Herzog that appeals to me. With these backs as a start (and SWEET CAP 460 Factory #30),
I'm about half of the way thru a complete run. Therefore, it's a go.

Regarding my T205 Harry Wolter run started in this thread (Post #70), here are the three remaining cards which complete this 11-card run.

There are times when the numerous Sports related stuff in my office have reached "a point of no return" :)

At least my uncut sheets of Sportscards are framed and are on display. These tiny pieces of cardboard (T's) are stacked in various locations.
Such as desk draws, plastic boxes, binders, etc., which I occasionally fail to remember.

Hi Chris

I did sell my Herzog/UZIT to David. I've sold many T206's to David when he was putting together his Master set.
David would visit me at the Nationals, and every time I would have a number of cards that he needed for his set.

But, I still have scans of this Herzog card. And, perhaps, someday I will recover it. I sort of regret parting with it.
But David has always been a good friend, and I was happy to help him achieve his goal.

Hey, it's possible that a 2nd UZIT of Herzog will be discovered....and be available.

Whatever....the 44 years that I've been in this hobby, I've sold certain cards, and subsequently re-acquired these
same cards years later. It's a great hobby....and the friends you make in the process is the "icing on the cake".

Circa 2010, old scans prior to my having SGC grade this Herzog card.

Great stuff, guys. Really appreciate seeing all these T206 runs. Let's continue this show-n-tell of our T206 and T205 back runs.

Here is my 92% complete Russ Ford back run from the Exclusive 12 group. Of course, I need the near impossible UZIT card to
complete this 13-card run. Ford has yet to be confirmed with the UZIT back. However, I expect it will eventually be discovered.

I would like to thank Luke Lyon, from whom I recently acquired the tough EPDG card of Ford.
