To flip or not to flip? That is the question.

Posted By: Cat
Peter:

I never really considered myself a flipper, but OK I guess we all have a bit of that in us. I once bought a large lot from Lelands and was miserable as I moved it. It was fun seeing all the cards from the lot though. It took so much time and effort to move them once I started to sell them (I'm still selling some of that stuff). In the end I kept very little from the lot which is not what I anticipated when I bought it. I'llnever do that again. I also don't like to let cards just lay around the house.

http://www.lelands.com/bid.aspx?auctionid=611&lot=780

Posted By: Bob
I engage in flipping and do so with the purpose of plowing the profits back in to more cards. Another strategy is to constantly upgrade cards and sell the upgraded one, sometimes for as much as the higher graded one cost, you'd be surprised. Both flipping and constantly on the lookout for upgrades have helped me in building my collection.
