My local library is hosting the traveling Negro League exhibit and Tom Stanton was the opening speaker. He spoke on "Hank Aaron and the Homerun that Changed America." A book he wrote in 2004. He is a good speaker and a genuine man. I enjoyed his talk a lot and really like his books. My favorite is about a trip he made to Cooperstown with his father and brother. Thanks for the post and I am thoroughly enjoying "Ty and the Babe."<br>

I was surprised at all the additional detail the book covered that I had not heard prior either in the movie or other articles. It was a real interesting read as it gave a lot of insight into what the players were thinking. I always wondered how Shoeless Joe could have gotten involved.<br><br>I also bought The Gas House Gang by John Heidenry....but haven't started reading it yet.
