Posted By: Mark Fimoff
The head angles (you are referring to nodding) are virtually the same - within a few degrees (you can see nostrils in both photos), and nowhere near enough to account for the large difference in ear height.

Posted By: Mark Fimoff
What's funny is I could have saved some artwork time since I have that same pic of Joyce in the 1907 Spalding Guide.

Nice find Dan.

(joking)

A few weeks after posting the initial thread I was able to put Joyce and "Field" together (I corrected myself in the later one), please read below...

http://www.network54.com/Forum/153652/thread/1215477306/E254+%26quot%3BField%26quot%3B+Identification+--+%28Revisited%29

-Rhett

Posted By: Rhett Yeakley
Mark, actually, I am very glad you posted that picture because I have been looking for a photo of "Butts" Wagner to compare to the 1898 Cameo Pepsin pin of the Toronto team that I have.

Butts made one of his first minor league stops in Toronto and I wanted to see if he was pictured on the Toronto item below. From the crappy photos I could find he looked "the most like" the guy in the very middle (right above Arthur Irwin's head). Let me know what you think in regard to the 1897 Toronto team pictured on the 1898 Cameo Pepsin pin.

-Rhett
