Posted By: Rhys
Some of you probably saw this on ebay, but it is really cool. Dated August 30, 1915 Vender selling Cracker jacks with a Wagner card (and one other partially visible) set out as part of the display to help sell the candy. It also shows the outside of the cracker jack boxes as well for identification purposes. I have always thought stuff like this was way cooler than the cards themselves.

Enjoy!

Rhys Yeakley

Posted By: leon
I thought it was a very neat piece. I emailed back and forth with the seller. I just couldn't pull the trigger for his asking price, though it wasn't all that bad, I guess. Rhys, you and I collect a lot of the same type ancillary things!! I love 'em. Not to go too far off track but here is a new ancillary thing I just received (it's made of wax paper). My gut tells me it's 1920's or so......regards

Posted By: Rhys
Leon

I got them down a bit so it wasn't so bad. I can live with the price as it only cost me about as much as a decent common from the set and if I never sell it, thats ok with me. I will tuck it away with my Cameo Pepsin Gum "Pin" Wrapper and a few other things like this.

Rhys

Posted By: leon
I probably should have pulled the trigger. I totally agree with you. Congrats on the pick up. The good thing about you nabbing stuff is that, many times, it gets into my collection anyway in the long run....regards
