Posted By: Ted Zanidakis
For new and old collectors of the T206 set, provided here is the entire checklist of the 2nd Series cards
and their available backs. I'll follow up with similar checklists for the 350/460 and 460 Series. Personally,
I think by arranging the T206 cards with respect to their different series lends itself to a better under-
standing of the front/back permutations of "The Monster".
The added benefit of this knowledge is to help the collector to avoid acquiring "fakes" that have impos-
sible front/back combos.

Shown here are all the possible T206 backs that the 216 Subjects in the 2nd Series were printed with
(unless noted).

Major Leaguers......130 Subjects

Abstein
Arrellanes
Atz
Barry (A's)
Barbeau
Beck
Becker
Bender (trees)
Bescher (portrait)
Bliss
Bresnahan (bat)
G. Posted By: Ted Zanidakis
With the exception of the Simon Nicholls (bat) card, the American Beauty 350 back with FRAME
is possible on the remaining 213 cards in this series.

The 55 T206 cards in the 350/460 Series were printed with the American Beauty 350 (No FRAME)
back. This Nicholls card was intended for the 350/460 Series; therefore, this card exists with the
No FRAME back. However, his Major League career ended April 25th 1910 when he was traded to
Cleveland. And, refused to play there. He went back to his farm in Maryland and then continued
his BB career with Baltimore playing for Jack Dunn (Mgr.).

Therefore, having been designed for the 350/460 series, the Nicholls card was never extended
into the 460 series. So, since Nicholls is not found with a 460 back, this card has been classified
as a 350 Series card.

Thanks for an excellent question.....I hope I have made this exception clear.

TED Z
