Posted By: J Hull
I've recently come across several newspaper archives that contained a great many advertisements for Old Mill brand cigarettes, with the ads also mentioning that baseball cards could be collected from the packages of cigarettes. The baseball cards mentioned in the ads are almost certainly what we now call T206 cards, although in some ads it's possible they were referring to T210 cards.

At any rate, I've created a webpage which contains a checklist and scans of an example of each ad. I'd be glad to know if anyone owns/has seen any Old Mill ads not on the checklist. For those of you interested in this sort of thing, enjoy!

Jamie

www.jimonym.com

Posted By: Jim Rivera
it looks like the Old Mill ad is printed (horizontal) opposite of the basball one(vertical). Is there a horizontal Old Mill ad?

Posted By: J Hull
Hi Jim.
I'm not sure I understand what your question is asking.

I've never seen any Old Mill newspaper ads but the 26 shown on my webpage, and have never seen any Old Mill ad (that I can remember) that didn't mention baseball cards being packaged in the packs.

Jamie
