Posted By: Bob Manning
Long ago, when CSA and PSA were the only games in town, I had these two cards graded at the National:

(The white streaks are reflections from CSA's internal plastic sleeve.)

Please offer advice:

-- Should I have them regraded? (I may sell them)

-- If so, by what company?

-- Should I break them out before submission?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Bob

You may find you can only get an AUTH for the label but hey, that's better than finding out that the cards are reprints. The scans you provided aren't too good so guessing the grades probably wont happen in this thread.

Good luck!

Posted By: JDRUM
but these look to be early CSA graded cards. I have had some success crossing over early CSA graded cards (2 T227s) to SGC and they crossed over to the same grade. I have heard that many of the later CSA graded cards have trouble crossing primarily because of trimming. If you are going to sell them I would have them regraded. SGC would be my choice but PSA would probably be fine as well. If you do get them regraded, I would crack them out and submit them raw.

Posted By: Scott Levy
I agree with most things said. I would also add that SGC is MUCH more lenient than PSA in regards to tilt cuts.....so PSA would be my choice for slabbing the cobb.

Regards,
S

Posted By: Michael Steele
I agree with JDRUM that these "red" CSA labels are the earlier ones and thus a better chance to cross at the grade or just below. I too had a few red label CSA's from the day's of Teletrade and they crossed to SGC just below the CSA grade. I kept them in the holder for the cross but not a bad idea to break em and send in raw.

Whatever you do, good luck.

They may have been trimmed when he got them, but I'm dead certain he wouldn't do any such thing. (If you can't trust Mr. Weatherbee, who can you trust?)

Bob
