Posted By: leon
I have a 12 yr old little girl we can throw into the mix too. She is starting to have an attitude. I haven't spanked her in about 8 yrs but keep threatening. I believe a spank on the behind (not to hurt but to get attention) is what kids are not getting enough of today...but I digress...

Posted By: Frank Wakefield
That would be a nice bunch of Hindu cards to have, though...

As for grouchy teenagers, 17 yr old twin daughters here. Their parents are idiots. School is boring and a waste of time. They lack the ability to move a dirty dish to the kitchen, much less the dishwasher.

But there is hope. I do honestly believe that they will eventually learn to turn off lights. That day will come when they have a light bill in their name.

I agree with Leon's perception for getting attention, but I think too few parents do. Not when you're angry, but with calm, reflective, good intentions... pop! Too late now for me. They'll be 18 in 6 weeks.

And I've come to think about college tuition as the alternative to keeping them underfoot. No brainer!!!

My 17 yo is just starting to go through the "OMG where am I gonna go to school?!" process, and I'm just thrilled that all the loans and grants are drying up because the economy sucks.

She took a year off, had a job within a month of graduating, and found out that the company she's working for would be very happy to provide tuition assistance. After a full year away she was more than ready to get back to the books, and now she's taking a couple classes each semester in addition to continuing full-time work, and she's a much better student for it.

There's always a way.

Bill

Posted By: J Garner
read your initial posts here yesterday and saw what you were talking about. emailed him about the cards yesterday and gave the link. gone today. emailed him about the magic johnson ball and the bad coa, also showed him the link on steiner sports that had the same ball picture. he removed it about 5 minutes later. i then told him i was searching all his other jordan stuff, found the link to all the photos he used in his auctions and now they are all gone. he is emailing me through ebay system saying he got a buyer for the hindu cards and that he is getting a court order to stop me for harrassing him. it all took about 45 minutes to scare the crap out of him and get him to end all his auctions. we went back and forth with about 20 messages through the ebay system. i'll continue to watch him. he kept saying he wanted my number to call and explain. it was all quite funny. its all good now. everything he was trying to sell he shut down after i found every single image he stole, thanks to the good start from the first poster.
