I now have all twenty-eight 1887 Old Judge poses of the World Champion Detroit Wolverines (a complete team set). This required obnoxious bidding at times as some of the poses have only surfaced once over the last five years (the time period over which I collected most of them). I was thinking of posting the pics in another thread.

As for 2009, no more "subsets", just add to the Detroit collection with more upgrades, cabinets, 1888 N172s, etc.

Best Regards,
Joe Gonsowski

Seventy-two card set, need 13 more. See 'em here:
http://tinyurl.com/5rxkal pw=aloha. Started an E93 American Caramel set a few months ago. Got some of the biggies out of the way (Wagner, Cobb, Matty, Young) but expect to have a tough time finding some of the rest. Cards at: http://tinyurl.com/6nn5x6 pw=aloha. I like the idea some of you have of collecting subsets. I have been collecting Vancouver & Victoria Obaks at a glacial pace. Will work on that in 2009 I suppose. Completed a subset of T205 Giants a few years ago; might do the same for the T206s, am part of the way there.

I recently purchased the CY YOUNG with the Old Put Back from him. In a way it seemed like it took forever to complete the set, but in reality, it was only about 4 years or so, really not bad for someone on a budget. Thanks to others such as Brian McQueen, Rob Adesso, and Toby Peterson, forgive me if I left out anybody else, who helped me accomplish my goal. Also thanks to all who are on or run, LEON, the forum. Posted By: Ken Wirt
Thanks Phil. I'm actually quite content with the cards that I have already acquired and will unlikely try to upgrade any. I've never been very concerned with condition, as long as the card appeals to me and fits into my collection goals. I suppose one of the nice things about being a HOF collector, is that you are never really finished - there will always be new inductees to go after, and quite possibly very challenging ones at that!
