He is a member of the PCL Hall of Fame, and among the early PCL stars he ranks right up there with the best of the bunch.<br><br>You'll like this interesting exerpt from Horne's Zeenut's book... (reprinted from San Francisco Examiner article (5-26-1943) by Prescott Sullivan)<br> &quot;...Kid's used to flip the pasteboards against the wall and the kid whose card came closest to the line took the works. We'll never forget the day we lost a treasured picture of &quot;Spider&quot; Baum in this manner. Baum, Seals pitcher, was a great favorite in those days and his picture was regarded as worth two or three of any other player because it was said to be &quot;rare.&quot; The candy company which distributed the pictures often put out more of one player than they did another...
