Posted By: Lance Galloway
I purchased a group of three T-cards from Korey in the first week of October, paid by a check, and have received nothing but a run-around from Korey. I have emailed Leon several times before posting here and generally feel it doesn't belong on the front page. But, The purchase was from the B/S/T and I feel he may have done or will try to do this again to someone here. The cards were a T205 Bresnahan and 2 common T206's for $110 delivered.

Anyway, thank God it wasn't a large purchase. Buyers beware!!!!

I hope you all have a wonderful Holiday Season!!!!

Lance

I attend quite a few card shows in Ohio and will ask if anyone knows him.

We need a separate forum for discussing possible scams and con artists, board rip-offs. Granted one would need to use discretion when posting because of liability. Can't be any worse than the things I read on the Net 54 Homepage.

Seems like a logical extension of "Detecting Card Alerations and Reprints".

Integrity is everything on this board!

Matt

Posted By: leon
I am sorry this happened to you. Please let us know if he comes back and pays or gives any explanation. I think a very well deserved "BE CAREFUL" where this guy is concerned, is warranted. Usually when someone sees their name in lights they come back and 'splain....

Posted By: Pete Z.
I remember him. He said he got the cards through craig's list. He never replied to my repeated emails on the t205 bresnahan. Warning heeded. Good luck to you.

Posted By: Jim VB
Lance,

Having lived in the Columbus area at one time (for 10 years) I can tell you that having his EXACT address (or PO Box) will be important to finding out which Police Department to call. The City of Gahanna is different than Columbus, which is different than the unincorporated areas of Franklin County (That one's the Sheriff.) That part of town has a multiple number of departments covering it.

Couple of things to think about. How did you pay him? Paypal? Make a claim and have your money back, almost right away. Check, sent by mail? You may be able to get the Post Office involved, especially if he's using a PO Box to perpetrate a fraud. Make sure you save and print out any email correspondence you have from him.

If you have a street address, I may have the correct Police number here. Let me know.

Posted By: dan mckee
WOW! That is bad Leon, very sorry to hear that. Just for the record, A detective in a neighboring town helped me with that TN idiot whose detectives were lazy and lathargic! Don't just go by the immediate town, a bored detective near by will gladly help!

Posted By: leon
He does live in Gahanna but it's against Net54 rules (which supersedes ours) to put addresses on the board without full permission. I have his exact address if anyone needs it but they will need to email me...

Posted By: leon
no, no, no......I want no authority...though public humiliation is fine...It is so easy to do the right thing.. Deals really should be pretty easy.....I just don't get all of the angst and gyrations....this is excepting the few extraordinary situations such as the overprint situation...

Posted By: Lance
After several transfers and a whole lot of BS, the good guys in Columbus and Gahanna, OH have decided this is a case for small claims court and not a criminal act. Any advice?

Posted By: dan mckee
You paid for something and he sent nothing?? He won't return your money either? That is criminal for sure, you found some lazy law enforcement it sounds like. A little pressure by them and he will be running to the post office like my TN idiot. That is fraud and against the law. Also you may want to try the Postal Inspector as he is using the US mail to steal. Dan.

www.danmckee.com/pictures/types001.jpg>

Posted By: jason
how hard is it to give some one the card or cards some one has paid for and i think it is sad that their are people out their trying to screw people at any chance they get. i really think it hurts the hobby and people trust in the fellow man when you send money for a card and do not recieve it and not even have the balls to give it back or at least let the person know what happene. i would rather have some one say they took my money and they won't give it back than just avoiding me. sorry about the problem you had with this person. jason

Posted By: Lance
Look at what I found in my in-box this evening:

Hi,

I was doing a google search on my ex and came across your post about how Korey never made good on sending you what you paid for. Although this matter already may have been settled I just wanted to let you know this is not the first time he has done this, He has had complaints on Ebay and Livejournal as well.

If you need any information about him I can provide you with his work phone number and probably his cellphone number although I do not remember it off the top of my head and he changes it often (as he has many enemies). I also have his address which to clarify is in Columbus City limits not Gahanna. Normally I would not offer this kind of information, but like I said he has repeatedly done things like this and seeing yet another complaint is really upsetting.

Let me know if I can be of any assistance.
