Posted By: Jerry Rucker
I would say you could find a lower grade but presentable Caramel Card Wagner in that price Range
Persoanlly I would look for an SGC graded one that has a nice front but has some minor back issues.

Posted By: LetsGoBucs
Personally I'd wait until next year. My own opinion is that all mid-grade cards are going to continue to decline. And you will be able to get more card for your money if your patient. There is a period of deflation that has started and BB and collectables in general will be on the decline.

Posted By: Joe D.
I would go with a low-grade e90-2.
nothing beats a portrait.

if a portrait is not to your liking...

e94 is not too shabby

and I like the e95s as well.

If it was me in your shoes.... I would look for a PSA 1 or SGC 10/20 with good eye appeal. Screw the technical grade. Enjoy the eye appeal.

Posted By: quan
recently u could get an e95 40 for 1.8-2k, an e93 sgc50-- went for 2.3k which is a good price. can't go wrong with one of those in a presentable grade imo.

Posted By: Michael Steele
A Ramly Wagner (T-204). Really nice and for that money you could get the highest grade and some consider it his rookie. We are talking Heine Wagner... right? Is there another pre war Wagner guy?

Posted By: Jeff Prizner
Agree with Phil, Fan Craze Wagner in a 6 or 7 for that price. IMO, one of the best looking Wagner cards.

Posted By: leon
You won't get Jeff's Wagner in a 92 holder for under 2k....but a decent vg one can be had for 2k'ish and it is a GREAT portrait. A few months ago I picked up this Wagner for about 1890....you get Wags and scarcity with E106.....

Posted By: steve
Buy the best condition you can afford. And I am a big fan of great looking real photos, sorry some of you caramel fans, but the pictures can sometimes not really look like Wagner.

That said, I agree with those who like the Fan Craze card. However, by far and away my personal pick is for the Colgan's chip - it just oozes vintage and has a great photo - try to find an SGC 84/PSA 7, maybe even a PSA 8 - you will like it !!!

Here is a pic of my Colgan's Tin Top Chip:

steve
