Posted By: J Levine
My memory might be spotty but if I recall it is not a different set. Many years ago a ledger was found that was from the T206 print shop. It contained notes on distribution, backings, and several cards that were printers scrap and printers proofs. Including in this find was a mock up or proof of a Collins batting. It was never issued. I remember holding this ledger and flipping through it with Terry Knouse. I do not know where the ledger is today nor where the Collins is either.

Joshua

Posted By: Jon Canfield
I don't believe the Collins proof was found in the ledger. Rather, I thought it walked its way into the show with the gentleman who also had all of the T3 proofs? I do know that Charlie Sheen originally purchased the card.

======================================
For the premier online souce of information on baseball-related cigarette packs, visit http://www.baseballandtobacco.com

Posted By: peter ullman
I believe Keith O has the collins card. I saw pieces of the ledger at Tik's table at the 95 nat'l I think it was...he had front/back examples of many scarcer backs attached to ledger pages. Boy do I wish I had a time machine...I'd buy them all!
Posted By: barrysloate
About five years ago Mastro auctioned a group of 8-10 T206 proof cards that included several unknown players and poses. Some are still unknown since the names didn't appear at the bottom. It was an exceptional group.

Posted By: Jim VB
Does Mastro even have archives available for past auctions? I was trying to look up something from the October auction and couldn't find a way to do it from their site.

Posted By: Ted Zanidakis
Some time back I presented my theory regarding the scarcity of the T206 Plank. Which included this Collins (batting) card and
many of the Philadelphia A's that are missing in the 150 Series of the T206 set.

Here are the two threads on this theory.
