Posted By: Anonymous
I can't comment about graded, but I have about ten different Grover Cleveland Alexander cards. They are a little harder to come by given supply and demand.

Posted By: barrysloate
Dennis beat me to it. There were two golden ages of baseball cards- 1910 and 1933- and Alexander's career missed them both.

Posted By: Brian T
I agree. I have this one from my HOF RC collecting days (and it is available for trade), but I had a tough time finding any of his cards. I know that the 2 game cards predate it, but they never appealed to me. I can't remember the last time a 1914 CJ Alexander hit ebay.

Well despite several attempts to insert or link to the image, I have apparently failed in that endeavor. If you are interested in a SGC A 1914 Cracker Jack Grover Alexander, just let me know.

""

Posted By: davidcycleback
Alexander was one quarter vampire from his maternal side, which meant his image couldn't be captured by a lithograph. This is why all his vintage cards are photoengravings.

Posted By: Rhett Yeakley
Jerry, I know Rand Bailey (from West Virginia) had purchased one at the Pittsburgh show a few years ago and he showed it to me at the show while we were chatting. I believe it had a small amount of paper attched to each corner on back but was pretty nice otherwise. He had just picked it up and wasn't sure what he wanted for it at the time. He has probably sold it since but I remember seeing it.
-Rhett
