I'm kinda disappointed!

BTW, as you know, my earlier quote was actually referencing your observation, which took place in an earlier episode, thereby carrying on the Seinfeldian conceptual continuity.

Posted By: Jodi Birkholm
Yes, a great episode from the greatest season of the show (until the finale, of course).

That episode also features the re-emergence of Salvation Army employee Rebecca DeMornay, who uttered one of my favorite lines in her first appearance:

"You and your toilet book better get out of here before I jump across this counter and punch YOU in the brain!"

Barry--You work? Posted By: David Goff
Season 8 and 9 are by far the best. Especially the last season. My all-time favorite episode is "The Serenity Now" followed by a close second, "The Merv Griffin Show". When I watch the Serenity Now, I still cry laughing when Kramer puts the wind chimes on his door. "The cool evening breeze of Anytown, USA" That's my favorite line.

Your mother was right, you never could compete with Lloyd Braun!!

edited to add...We could easily do a long thread on Seinfeld episodes...

Posted By: barrysloate
I felt the later episodes were a bit haywire. Elaine's character changed over the years, and I like the early Elaine better. The later episodes were shrill and over the top. The early ones were paced better and more clever. But to each his own.

Posted By: Bob Manning
If the Bookman episode isn't the best, it's real close. And to be that funny to a generation that did't (and still doesn't) know either Jack Webb or Dragnet, that's genius.
