Posted By: leon
All 1909 obaks can come either way...Most of the frameless ones were handcut but some were machine cut too. My partner, Scott B, had almost a complete set of framed and frameless. I don't believe there is a known reason for the difference...regards

I have seen PSA grade frameless cards with a number and not grade at all (I don't recall seeing a PSA AUTH frameless).

Alot of this depends on the degree of the cut and when it was submitted.

On the subject of Obaks, each grading company has an even more uneven history of dealing with factory stamps on Obaks (all three years). Its possible to see an Obak w/ stamp in a PSA MK or without. Its possible to see an Obak w/stamp in SGC straight grade (no downgrade or mention of mark), SGC graded down due to mark, SGC labeled "factory stamp" with straight grade.

Argh.
