Posted By: Jim VB
Matt,

The issue was a set of schedule postcards issued by the NY Giants in 1932. You had to write in the Giants to ask for your favorite player. 22 players in total. Hubbell was far and away the most popular. It's speculated that they printed many more Hubbells than anyone else. Both Robert Lifson and Lew Lipset have speculated that the Hubbell was used as a promotional giveaway of some sort. Hubbell is available in both thick stock and thin stock. All others are thick stock only. The thin ones are printed reversed on the back side.

There are a couple on Ebay right now. One is a little high priced. The other is ridiculously priced.

Here's a link from an REA auction a couple of years ago. (I did not win this lot but I wish I had. It contains the 4 I need.)

http://s210975194.onlinehome.us/auction/2005/270.html
