Posted By: Frank Wakefield
If you buy a card from him and leave him a negative, I'll mail you $10. I owe him a negative. He negged me, I left him 2 positives. He blocked me as a bidder so I couldn't get even. I'm serious about the $10.

Posted By: Frank Wakefield
No sir. I do want it to be a negative that sticks with him. One with a new account that goes away isn't any good....

I may well send $10 to each of the first two who neg him, seems like someone else got burned by him, too.

One thing that annoys me is that with the new/current eBay feedback system, he could not have done that to me. I missed it by a couple of weeks.

He returned my payment without a problem, so I have to give him props on that one. Oh well!

Brandon

Posted By: Frank Wakefield
I gave him 2 positives on the cards I bought. And my recollection is I gave him 3 stars on one thing, maybe, and 4 stars on everything else. He was mad as hell 'cause I didn't give him 5 stars, so he negged me. He told me that in an abusive email, and told me he'd barred me from future auctions.

I'm ok with you giving him a pos for the returned card.

I just have 2 ten dollar bills here, and they need a new home.

Posted By: Frank Wakefield
Guys...

I think it highly likely that Bette is either sonicadvantage, or in close relation with sonicadvantage.

A careful reading of my posts above will show that at first I wanted one neg for sonicadvantage for what they did to me. And then I mentioned 2 negs because they had negged someone else.

I'm not after a zillion negatives. I am after fairness. As a buyer I paid very quickly, and left them positive feedback with honest star information. For that I got a negative and an abusive email. I sent no abusive emails to them...

So watch out foolin' with Bette, she may well not be as nice as she seems, she may well be posting in a deceptive way. And she might be trying to get eBay to go after this Net54 board.

Frank.

Posted By: Frank Wakefield
In his nasty email to me, he said he saw that I'd not left feedback and his star rating was at some level... then after I'd left feedback his star rating had gone down. And he said he was neging me for that.

I'd bought 2 T206s. And both were genuine. I left 2 positives and honest stars. He left me one neg. Realistically he could have left 2 negs. I think he left a positive, then deduced the star thing, and left the neg.

I think this guy has contacted eBay and has described how this board is anti-eBay and wants to do harm to his ratings.

I hope eBay does contact me about all of this. And they'll notice up there in my July 12th post that I said "I'm ok with you giving him a pos for the returned card"... Still, I'm all for anyone who buys stuff from him and feels that he deserves a neg, for leaving him a neg.

It is partly eBay's fault. They give these guys financial incentives to have 5 stars, so the sellers raise hell if they don't get 5 stars...

I've thought of starting a thread here asking which is more important to an eBay bidder, for the seller to have 100% positive or close to it, or for the seller to have 5 stars on everything or close to that?? Which is more important, positives or stars???

Makes me think of Star Bellied Sneetches.
Posted By: Anonymous
As I read this thread the first time it was very evident that you clearly were soliciting people to leave Sonic Advantage negative feedback in return for money. I would say that this is a clear violation of ebay TOS and T&S would be extremely interested to see someone follow through with something like that.

I am sure your pal Jay filled you in on the details of our conversations so if I were you I would do just as you were and cool your jets over the whole matter and certainly apologize to someone for what you did. As I know him very well he is somewhat remorseful that he upset you so much with the negative and actually is also upset over the lack of a way to retract the feedback as much as you are upset over not having the ability to leave feedback in response for him. I would think that possible legal action and potentially losing your 2400 feedback ebay account isn’t worth one negative though is it? ebay might be changing some of their processes to allow feedback removal in the future so at some point it might be possible to get this all cleared up by him removing the negative he left but you offering people money in exchange for them leaving negatives for revenge against him will do no good and only bring more people into the legal mess if someone takes you up on that offer.

Jay was all up in arms and supporting the terrible evil seller gang mentality until I called him on the fact that he bought a 400.00+ card from Rob which was a great card and which he was thrilled with. He denied it but I was forwarded the original email with personal his info on there so he was basically lying to try and save face and was caught in the lie.

So in the end, you guys wanted lower shipping from him, he gave it to you. You were all mad because he told you if you didn’t like that fact that he told you to piss off when you asked for guarantees that the 500 cards he had weren’t fake not to buy from him but he always had a return policy which he didn’t ask questions and refunded right away. He combines shipping no matter how many cards(which very few people do), packed in brand new boxes with holders for every card and bubble, has handwritten thank you notes from the kids, free art magnets, huge photos for review, shipped the next day always… I would say that if you ordered 10 cards from various sellers you would have a hard time finding better service on average. Although its just my opinion and you are entitled to yours.
Posted By: Frank Wakefield
So Bette / Big Fan Male IS associated with sonicadvantage...

Odd thing about it all is that I was happy with the 2 cards I bought. And I've hit others with searches that I would have bid on, but for being blocked out on sonicadvantage auctions.

"Solicit" is a bit strong on what I asked for up there. Some folks suggested that I set up a new eBay account and leave a negative that way... Truth is I've NEVER left a negative for anyone in those 2400 transactions you mentioned. But I did offer $10 for someone who left a neg since I felt like sonicadvantage was owed one for what he did to me.

I did not have any problem about card authenticity... don't mix me up with what others have done. Nor did I fuss about return policy. And I agree that the cards were packaged well.

I did leave positive feedback and honest stars. I did get a neg in return for that, even though I promptly paid. (What else is expected of a buyer other than prompt payment?) Sonicadvantage did send me an abusive email. I sent nothing of the kind to him.

By way of this post I hereby rescind my $10 offer. Having done so, how will sonicadvantage make amends to me for the UNFAIR neg and for the abusive email???
