Posted By: Jason L
In the T205 set, out of all the cards, which one do you consider to be THE Card? meaning, your favorite. The one that defines the set to you.

I am not talking about just value. I'm talking about what is the most important to YOU. (It may be value, and that's fine).

For me, I am still undecided...

Posted By: Paul
I agree it's Matty hands down. For American Leaguers (with the diamond design) I'd go with Cy Young.

Posted By: Anthony N.
For me it was always this one. I know it's a common, but the ornate design defines the set to me. Add in the connection to the Babe and it makes it an even more interesting card.

(scan lifted from vcp)

Posted By: MVSNYC
Anthony- he's actually not just a "common"...it's one the 9 minor league cards in the set; tuffer to locate, thus more valuable.

cool card, BTW

Posted By: scott levy
Yes for sure. But I love that card so I've tried to get it in all the tough backs. I have an AB back and a blank back T205 Matty as well

P.S. Nee from Newark is also a personal fave (even though I must admit that I don't have one)

Posted By: Brandon Brown
Cobb and Wheat are the most attractive cards. By the way, Jason, if you had a Nee card with a crease, would it be "merely a flesh wound"? OK sorry for the bad joke, had to do it!

Brandon

Posted By: William Cohon
This is my favorite set, too, so committing to one card is a challenge. To read the backs is to visit the world of the 1911 base ball fan, which complicates the matter even further. Ultimately, the Joss card wins the contest. Joss's recent death, referenced in the text, and the ensuing All-Star/fundraiser are just too compelling to be denied.
