Nice Story on Leon Luckey

Posted By: <b>Bruce Dorskind</b><p><br /><br />We just received September/October 2008 issue of<br />Beckett's Graded Card Investor.<br /><br />There is a lovely profile story on Leon Luckey<br /><br />For those of you interested, and who have not met<br />Leon, the story features a charming photo of Leon<br />with his daughter.<br /><br />When asked by BGCI what are the most difficult type cards<br />in the hobby, Leon lists:<br /><br />Four Base Hits<br />Just So<br />Niagara Baking<br />Washington Times<br />Fan Cigarettes<br /><br /><br />We know of only collector who has examples of four of the five of these<br />types in his collection. Said collector looks at, but does not post on<br />the Board.<br /><br />Does anyone know of anyone else who has four of the five.<br /><br />We assume Leon is the only person with a Fan Cigarette?<br /><br />Nice story and best wishes, Leon.<br /><br /><br />Bruce Dorskind<br />America's Toughest Want List

As far as rarity I can think of a lot of cards where there are only 1-2 known....So I basically just threw out 5 off the top of my head that I know to be very difficult to obtain. Since I don't really collect cabinets I didn't think of them. And yes, I know of the board member, who actually does post occasionally, that has 4 of the 5 mentioned. It's always that darned last one, isn't it?
