Posted By: Zach Rice
I’m proud to say that earlier this afternoon I was able to slide the last two T210 series 2 cards I needed to complete my series into their proper places in my binder. It has been almost exactly three years since I started the series (I picked up my first example at the last Chicago National); I feel very fortunate to have completed this “set” in such a timely manor.

Though the second series is considered the easiest of the eight to complete, both cards Zimmerman and Levy appear much less frequently than the other 85 cards in the set. I don’t think this is just my experience as I know of other collectors who faced similar situations. Needless to say, Zimmerman and Levy were the last two cards I needed and I was fortunate to pick both up on eBay last week.

Thanks to all the board members who have helped me in completing this portion of the beast.

Posted By: Zach Rice
Wow, thanks for the great response and kind words.

What’s next? I’ve been piecing together series 1 and 3 cards as well as picking up others putting me at about 140-150 T210s in total. I think I’m going to collect the rest of the set as a whole and pick up any needed examples regardless of their series. I’ve also been putting a great emphasis on the T209-2 and T211 sets and always love putting away new examples from both.

Quan, still just one Starbucks, though another is in the “works”

Posted By: John S
Nice job Zach. I have about a dozen...trying to get a representative from each series. I only need a series 6 to complete the type set. With that said I can't imagine trying tp put togehter an entire series. Great accomplishment!

Posted By: Andy Cook
Zach,

Congratulations! It's a great achievement. Levy and Zimmerman are more difficult than other series 2s, especially Levy, which I consider much more difficult than Zimmerman. They were two of the final four I needed to complete my T210-2 set. I have the only Levy I ever saw during the numbers of years it took me to complete T210-2. I saw two other Zimmermans besides mine.

Andy

Posted By: Bob
Zach- congrats!I was bidding on those cards and wondered why they were going so high. Now I know. I wish someone would do an article on the Red Border set for Vintage Cardboard with special emphasis placed on tough cards so those of us who collect this set could have a clue, other than being surprised on ebay when a seemngly innocuous one goes for big bucks!
