Posted By: Mike Gray
George,
If that is Bruce's views he is welcome to them. Sure most of us(myself included) don't agree with them, but he shouldn't be singled out. I hope that leon locks this thread. Bruce might have some different views but he has nothing but a wealth of knowledge to offer to other collectors.
Sincerely,
Mike Gray

Posted By: Matt
What is this, the twilight zone? You are calling out other people for not responding to a post in a thread that you yourself also didn't respond to? If you disagree with what he said, then why not post your own disagreement in that thread?

Posted By: Dan Bretta
I don't believe Bruce really thinks that....just like I don't think he believes the Scammer in Ohio should get the death penalty. His sense of humor is "off". Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Posted By: leon
I am not sure why I would lock this thread? .....Bulldog can discuss his view of someone else's opinion just like any of us can be scrutinized. Besides, some of Bruce's views are a little outlandish so they can be the topic of discussion, imo. The guy who perpetrated fraud being put to death was the most recent one I can think of...I agree he should go to jail...but put to death? Most of us would think that's a little extreme.....I don't like anonymous posts though.....

Posted By: Jeff Prizner
agreed with Dan, his signature should just read "high grade good, low grade bad." Although it's really no worse than hearing over and over "low grade good, high grade bad" or about the evils of slabs in general. So collect whatever you like, after all, most people think you're crazy for collecting in the first place.

Posted By: Bruce Dorskind
Authorities euthanize pit bulls after fatal W. Knox mauling

Four pit bull dogs connected with the fatal mauling of a 21-year-old woman have been euthanized.

The 3-year-old female Passion Maria and three pups about 5 months old were chemically euthanized Friday, according to Tim Adams, director of the Young-Williams Animal Shelter.

Charles Smallwood, who owned the dogs involved in the Nov. 12 mauling, opted on Friday to surrender the dogs to authorities, said David Head, director of Knox County's Animal Control unit. Smallwood, 25, came to the animal shelter to waive his ownership of the animals.

"He made them our property," Adams said. "We euthanized them that afternoon."

Smallwood could have appealed to the Knox County Health Department the "vicious" designation attached to the four animals by animal control officials. Instead he opted to surrender the animals.

Posted By: Paul S
Those were pit bulls Bruce cited, not Bulldogs.
Anyway, agreeing with Leon, I think Bruce very well means what he writes (in the other thread.)
This is why I am so glad we now have DNA testing. Do you know how many card cheats formerly on death row have had their sentences overturned because of DNA testing? Plenty, I tell you! And it was our hard earned tax dollars that were ill-spent to keep them there! Talk about inhumane cruelty.

Posted By: barrysloate
Bruce is fond of taking extreme positions on controversial issues. All of them contain seeds of truth; they are then embellished to draw attention. But he can explain it better than I can.

Posted By: Jodi Birkholm
Everyone, please leave our Bruces alone! LEAVE BRUCES ALLLLLOOONNEE <sob, sob>!!!!!!!

Bruces are always good for a laugh. That's normally what they strive for. Except when they're talking about rarity or vintage corners that are so sharp that they could simultaneously pierce through the uber-thick skin of each Bruce. In such instances they are being scholarly and entirely serious. I don't think most folks know when a heartfelt har-dee-har-har is in order. Bruces rock n' roll all night and party ev-or-y day.

Posted By: Bob
Bruce was just trying to be funny. I took it as tongue in cheek because if he truly believed that (and I am sure he doesn't), it would be sad to the point of pathos.
As far as anyone owning pit bulls who maul and kill humans, particularly small children, I'd personally like to see the owners taken out and thrown in a pit with wild grizzlies who have been starved for a week.

Posted By: Pcelli60
I think a lot of guys around here feel this way- but only with mid to lower grade items..A forum like this is also perfect for them to show off their stuff and brag about it. Guys like this are much more prevalent than we all think- just look at the idiotic numbers that have been set for us to compete with..In fact he sounds like the kind of guy Barry Sloate needs to keep around..

Posted By: Brad Larson
I think you're taking that a little to literal. I have to admit that I've probably been guilty of neglecting my girlfriend and son for brief moments while sorting cards or something and I think that thread was just an exaggeration of that in order to express one's love of card collecting.
