Posted By: Jeff Lichtman
You have to give the seller an A+ for his audacity: lies about the card he's selling AND gives the next higher grade value for the card. As if one lie in the listing didn't meet his quota for the day.

Posted By: Ryan Christoff
Come on, guys. How is the seller supposed to know it's Leach just because it says so on the card? All he knows is that it should have graded higher. That part he knows PSA got wrong.

-Ryan
Posted By: Matt R
I really hope that person is simply just ignorant when it comes to cards. Sadly, I don't think that's the case. Even more sad is if someone actually buys it.

Then again, nobody is going to touch that auction so that might be a good way to pick up Leach for a good price!

Posted By: Bob
The seller is a frequent seller and buyer of pre-war cards. He knows it is not Cobb.....

Posted By: Matt
Barry - I can't take any credit for the heads - in a recent thread, Steve Murray used it to "be more indignant regarding this sleazy seller." That certainly applies here.

Posted By: Jeff Lichtman
What a lowlife. Because PSA won't stop ripping him off he decides to pass it down the line. Not that anyone could be dumb enough to buy this card as a Cobb -- except perhaps the PSA grader who handled the card and the various PSA reps that won't take it back?

As Joe O says, "Never get cheated -- unless I'm the one doing the cheating!"

Posted By: Jeff Lichtman
Sean, imagine an E93 Leach with a flip that reads Cobb. That's the card.

Posted By: Steve
Jeff

with all due respect why did you believe what that guy said?

Just because he stated PSA wouldn't take it back?

He was bothered that he had to pay for it to get back to them is
how I read it.

I have had an error like that one time and one email later I had the form
and all I had to do was pay to ship it to them.

I find it odd that in one breath you call him a liar then in the other
you believe his anti psa rant.

Steve

Posted By: Jeff Lichtman
Steve, you're 100 percent right. He may have just used that as an excuse to blame PSA for his fraud. And I agree, it's hard to imagine PSA not taking the card back. I suppose the insanity of PSA mixing up an E93 Leach with an E93 Cobb had me thinking that if PSA was dopey enough to make that mistake they may have been just as dopey in refusing to correct their mistake.

Posted By: Steve
lol anything is possible.

What is funny, though, last month I auctioned off a 1954 Paige and a 0
feedback bidder won, long story short the guy stiffed me and I negged him,
lo and behold this guy (ss64chevy) got stiffed by the same 0 feedback bidder
and he too negged the guy. I then looked at his feedback and did not like
what I saw, so this leach/Cobb card is not the only nonsense this guy has been involved in.

I guess it goes in the small world file.

Steve
