Posted By: <b>Bob Lemke</b><p>The 1951 Bowman Doby card uses a picture that appears (black-and-white) in the 1951 and possibly 1950 Indians team issued photo packs.<br /><br />As for pitcher covering second base . . . if catcher overthrew on steal attempt and second sacker was chasing the ball in the outfield, wouldn't the pitcher cover?

P would back up throw from SS to 2B.<br /><br />Depending on how far away the ball gets, P might back-up plate (or 3B) on a ball thrown from outfield to home (or 3B). <br /><br />Either way...its a great looking card!<br /><br />Best,<br /><br /><br /><br />
