Posted By: Dan Bretta
I emailed him this: "Some of those super-rare cards you have in this album wouldn't by chance be of the super-rare Market King Tobacco variety would they?"

Let's see if he responds....the secretgarden dude has stopped responding to my queries.

Posted By: barrysloate
What an ingenious scam! He put all this crap in an old album to make it look original. But his corner mounts are all brand new. Somebody is going to get burned on this one.

Posted By: Anthony S.
Interesting. Seems Marketkingman got no bites on a "real photo tobacco card" T222 Murphy a couple weeks back (1st link), and lo and behold, what's that on the first page of Sellbrad850's scrap book (2nd link).

http://tinyurl.com/5n2mrh

http://tinyurl.com/5ga9pv

And here I thought that humid Florida climate might age and discolor those pristine black scrapbook pages after 100 years...

Posted By: leon
Hi There
I think you said you don't know how to describe this item. How about "this is an old photo album with fake pictures in it that I am selling to try to fool someone. Please note the nice NEW hinges on the pictures too.....because us scam artists didn't know where to find old hinges".....that would be quite fitting for the description and probably quite accurate.

Posted By: ctownboy
Not only the T222 but Marketkingman had a couple of Yum Yum cards listed about a month ago. Of course, after a few days, the auctions said, "Seller has ended the listing early because there was an error in hte listing" or something like that.

Well, no duh. The cards are FAKES but were listed in the Pre-1930 category.....

Since Hal lives in Florida (does he still?) maybe he could get something done about this sleaze, his reprints and trying to hide behind the Constitution and commit fraud at the same time.

David

Posted By: Edward Cavagnaro
Did anyone else notice how the photo mounts encroach on the border of the Fatima card? I didn't realize that those "old" cards were three-dimensional!
