She wasn't as excited as I was

Posted By: Dustan Hedlin
This is my favorite b/s/t pickup for a few different reasons. It was my first Cobb, my first major HOF T206, tied for my largest purchase (cash wise) at the time, and is just a great card. I also woke up my girlfriend to tell her the good news, and she wasn't nearly as excited as I was. I bought it one day, and it was here the next.

Posted By: Mark L
Denny,
I agree that it is most cool because it reminds us of the role that Indians once played in the game. I also wanted the card because of something I remember from my childhood. I was about 10 back in 1969 when my dad took me to Forbes Field for the 60th anniversary of the ball park. The program that night was filled with pictures and slogans from the early days, including one slogan that read "Put in Yellowhorse!" I asked my father, who was a Pirate fan since the early twenties, what that meant and he said "Oh, he was a relief pitcher." I have always remembered that old Pirate chant and my father's recollection of his role on the staff, so I was very pleased to discover that the Chief made it into the Zeenuts as well as on to an exhibit.
Posted By: Joe D.
the REA e103 Wagner is strikingly similar to mine (but it is not mine).

I would say my card is just slightly better - because, well, I am biased - and because my card comes from the Quan collection

Regards,
Joe

Posted By: Joann
Tough call. Going strictly by BST only then it's this one from Rob M:

I tend to jumble all Net54 related acquisitions as "BST", but in reality many of them were not technically BST deals. If I considered all of those, it would be a long list of great cards. Now that I respond to this thread, I realize that I get as many or more "Net54" cards - members' websites like Leon's, or email deals after posting a recent pick up, etc - than I do actual BST cards.

Joann
