Posted By: Andrew
I finished 2nd. I think I had the winner on ropes on a river beat, he was down to $210. He made a great comback. Last hand was my river flush against his full house that he turned.

Fun stuff.

"Take your life in your own hands and what happens? A terrible thing: no one to blame." -- Erica Jong

Posted By: Steve Murray
So here I am, short stacked, looking across the table at the "Terminator" Jeff Prizner. Looking at a pocket pair of fives with big blind coming up I go all-in. Well, after great thought and expert analysis, the Terminator figures that I'm on tilt and he calls with 98 suited.

Flop Q Q x
Turn Q Q x 7
River Q Q x 7 7
or something like that. I'm too much in shock. Beat by a 9 high
Posted By: Jeff Prizner
ahhh yes... now I remember.

I put you on AK or AQ, knew I'd be behind but felt lucky w/ the suited connectors against a hand like that, plus was almost getting the right pot odds, and then was actually very happy to see the pkt 5's.

However, I did truly feel a little bad about what happened next.

Posted By: Richard S. Simon
Andrew you did have me on the ropes with that river A to beat my queens.
650 chips is what I actually had at my low point, with 3 of us left, and I won the tourney.

I refuse to engage in a battle of wits with an unarmed opponent.
Unknown author
--
We made a promise.
