Posted By: James Gallo
I was looking at these two Cheif Bender cards I just got in and one is a great deal darker then the other. The text on the back is also a lot bolder on the one with the lighter front.

I have handled a lot of Cracker Jacks, though mostly 1915 and have never noticed this before. I know that this is not uncommon with T-260's but I thought that was a result of the back and printer changes.

Has anyone else ever noticed this before on Cracker Jacks and any ideas about the cause?

I like the darker front image better, but the darker back is easier to read.

Both cards are in PSA holders and are real.

James G

Looking for 1915 Cracker Jacks and 1909-11 American Caramel E90-1.

Posted By: Dave S
JG--I have run across red variations more often with the E145-2s than with the 1914's. Can't really offer an explanation as to "why" but don't think the varying "red"s are too uncommon..
