Posted By: AJ
Hello guy and gals
I have been sent here from a member of The Bench sports card trading site. I have recently had the opportunity to pick this t205 Jimmy Collins ML card up in a trade. The trader is letting me investigate with the card in hand before I make up my mind. I have done a little research myself and it look pretty good but would love the opinions of someone familiar with the set or tobacco cards. Any information or opinions would be appreciated. Here are scans of the front and back.
Thanks: AJ

Posted By: AJ
LOL
Thanks guys. I think I am going to pull the trigger on it. I am new to the tobacco card thing and the first 2 are certified so no need to worry. You can never be to careful with older cards. Are there red flags to watch out for with these? I here they are nearly impossible to counterfeit because of the gold border.
AJ

Posted By: AJ
Dave-
So your honest opinion on this one is its real and unaltered or to be careful and do a little more research? The person trading it says that the white on the front appears to be old paint which is possible since the back shows evidence that it was part of a scrap book at one time. I just know that I have seen quite a few and theres a ton of edge chipping and this ones edges have little chipping when compared to others but this could be explained by it being flat in a book and not as abused.
AJ

Posted By: Dave F
AJ-

I think the Collins is real and unaltered. I'm speaking in general about T205's...especially the higher grade looking raw cards...lower grade your probably going to be fine most the time.
