Posted By: Seth B.
I just picked up my first T-Unc Tango Egg card: Bescher, of course, but it's in super nice condition. It's really cool seeing a baseball card with an egg advertisement on the back! I just need two bread cards to stack it between, and I've got a breakfast sandwich.

I read the previous thread about Tangos, but I thought I would start a new thread on these cards. I have two questions for experts out there:

1. How where these cards distributed? Has anyone ever seen a Tango Egg carton (were there even cartons in 1916?), or were they possibly mail-in redemptions?

2. Why are Jennings and Bescher the most commonly found? Any ideas on this? Was the family that had the big find fans of the two players?

Thanks!

Oh, and might as well start a show-me thread, too. I'll get a pic of my Tango in soon as my scanner is up.

-Seth B.

Posted By: Seth B.
Thanks, Dennis! I've seen this REA write-up before. Still, though, wondering if anyone has ever seen a Tango Eggs carton, or if anyone knows how these cards were actually distributed...

Posted By: Bob
Strange that they used a Joe Tinker picture and slapped a Buck Weaver caption of front, ditto Happy Felsch on a Ray Demmitt card...
