Posted By: <b>John S</b><p>I noticed this when sorting some of my duplicates. It is not quite as easy to see on the scan but "Woods" and "Buffalo" are different between the two examples. People would actually do it on purpose when needed.<br />It was more mechanical back then (not computer automated like today) - so I would guess the likelihood of an overexposed/underexposed plate was greater.<br /><br />so it could be the same everything - but just the way the plate was made.
