Posted By: <b>Peter Thomas</b><p>I had never noticed the Porter Lager notation. This probably is a reference to Porter Sq. Cambridge where there was an old brewery building and also a stop on the T North of Harvard Sq. and West of Summerville. The Fenway reference needs no explanation.

Hal Chase? the best player and base stealer on their team at the time.<br /><br />Edited to add that Chase was on the White Sox in 1913, but the Yanks in 1912--still kinda looks like him though. His regular Tom Barker card shows him on the Sox, whom he didn't join until June.
