Seller states EMPHATICALLY that it is authentic.
Only front scan provided but looks like type of "N.Y. NAT'L"
is one size too large.

http://cgi.ebay.com/orig-1909-11-T206-T-206-MATHEWSON-CHRISTY-NO-CREASES_W0QQitemZ270199829981QQihZ017QQcategoryZ86 840QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Posted By: Scott Levy
I wish that I could see the back of this card....I'm almost certain that it's a 1980s reprint from the same series that has things like red old mills.

Posted By: Eric B
Hey guys, the winner of the second go-around would like to know why it's a fake. Can some of you experts give a link and/or explanation as to why it not original? Maybe a side-to-side comparison?

Posted By: Steve
What the heck...

Eric, there are several red flags. The most obvious is the text on the back, color and frame size. The text on the front should not be pure black, but shat brown in color. The N in NAT'L should be larger than the AT'L

The front colors are washed out and faded and artificially aged(in and of itself, these signs are inconclusive).

Real vs counterfeits;

Posted By: Adam
New eBay auction number is 270201597943. Looks like the problem with the back of this card was taken care of. It's got a new back (and note also how the borders of the front scan line up perfectly with the borders of the back scan . . . really great card for someone to add to their collection).

http://tinyurl.com/2o7lwd
