T206 HOF Calendar - Input Needed

Would you put any T206 HOF player with any specific month, and why?<br /><br />Assuming you're interested, would you prefer portrait or action poses? Tell me what your ideal calendar would be like. I will strive to please the masses, but I would be happy to create custom calendars for the right price.<br /><br />Thanks

Posted By: <b>Doug Moore</b><p>Trae:<br />I think the calendar is a very cool idea as we approach the 100th anniversay of many of these sets.<br />Why not start by putting in each hall of famer in the month of his birth. That info is readily available eveywhere. I think mixture of portraits and action photos would appeal to the masses, however, like you, I'm a fan of the portraits.<br /><br />I look forward to hearing other's opinions.

Posted By: <b>barrysloate</b><p>Trae- I would start to produce a 2009 daily calendar, with each of the 365 days on a separate sheet of paper. When you take into account the 350 or so birthdays, plus events in the careers of the players, you could find at least one or more entries for every day of the year. Then I would try to incorporate as many pictures as possible- I think a color picture for each page would be prohibitive.<br /><br />I always thought about producing such a calendar commemorating the career and lives of the Beatles, but with me thinking about it and doing it are two separate things.

Posted By: <b>john/z28jd</b><p> I actually put thought into this and here's what i would do and why<br /><br />January- both Tom Downey cards because hes the first t206 player born chronologically jan. 1st<br /><br />February- Has presidents day so I'd have all the players with same names as Presidents Bush,Reagan,Wilson,Jackson, Johnson Taylor,Ford<br /><br />March Cy Young glove showing card(too many other portraits already) because he was born in March<br /><br />April- the yelling Hughie Jennings cards,hes the only t206 player born on my birthday,and he looks happy that baseball is starting<br /><br />May-Plank for his ML debut and you have to have his card in there<br /><br />June- Chesbro and Bresnahan as they were the only hall of famers born in june in the set<br /><br />July- Mathewson portrait,i think its one of the nicest portraits and he made his debut in July<br /><br />August-Cobb green portrait for his ML debut,i was going to put him in december but i dont think happy holidays when i think of Cobb<br /><br />September- Leifield pitching,nicest card in the set and he made his debut,pitched his final game and was born in September<br /><br />October- I like the Cubs montage page so why not put the lineup plus a couple pitchers<br /><br />November- all 3 Turkey Mike Donlin cards obviously<br /><br />December-Honus, just because who wouldnt want to get one of those for Christmas

The set fills out to a natural 12, one for each month.<br /><br />All 4 Cobb's<br />The 3 Matty's<br />Both W. Johnson's<br />Trio of Cy Young's<br /><br />I have been after this set of 12 for several years, all I need are the W.Jo portrait & Matty white cap.<br /><br />steve
