Posted By: Brian McQueen
Thought we'd go ahead and get this new section of Net 54 off the ground. I've gone ahead and got this page all set up and now we can try to find the best and informative threads we've had to offer the past few years and place links to them on this page.

I'm excited about this project as I really like the idea of having our most informative threads in one easy-to-access location. Please let me know about any threads that you feel should be included. It can be discussion about specific sets/cards, issues in the hobby, detecting reprints/alterations, etc... The nice thing is that everyone can have some input on this as well. We don't have a set idea on how this will work or what areas it will focus on so your suggestions are important.

To get us started, I've been working a bit on finding some neat threads on prewar sets and adding them to this page. If you go to the Archive Center link above, you'll see that I have a few up there already. Hopefully this gives you an idea of the sort of thread I'm looking for - obviously needs to be informative, perhaps with some quality hobby discussion, no fights breaking out, etc. I'd love to have 2-3 quality links at least on as many sets as possible.

I'm also open to ideas on other areas of interest you guys would like to see archived within this page. A couple additional guidelines on what I'm looking for are as follows -

1. Try to find me the exact URL of the original thread. Don't just point to the URL of the thread on a "Search results" page as others won't be able to see the thread clearly. You might have to do some digging to accomplish this

2. Threads that are archived in this manner will be locked. We can make exceptions if need be but we really don't want to start re-hashing old threads from years prior

3. Some of the more popular sets, ie...t206, will have countless numbers of threads devoted to them. We really just want the best ones though so please keep that in mind. Other scarcer ones such as Home Run Kisses will probably not have much discussion so we'll just take what we can get!

Thanks guys, I appreciate the help!

Brian

Posted By: Tim Kindler
Wow! I'm an idiot at computers, so I'm not sure of all the work you have put into this thus far, but I'm sure it has been countless hours. Thanks for your time and effort on this. I spent the last 20 minutes going through the E98 and Old Put sections. It was really enjoyable. Thanks for helping to put another great resource at our fingertips!
Tim
