Posted By: Al Simeone
Hi Dan,
Yes it is funny I thought you were a little older! Yep Im getting old! 50. My son in the middle is at Fordham now he is a Junior. Started off on the Baseball team (Pitcher) in his freshman year but being a Pre Med Major there wasnt enough time in the day for him. Div.1 baseball with the travel and the load he has to carry just wasnt in the cards! Rob Dewolf and I talked about it alot. I think he is better off . Killing my baseball buying power alot!!! Fordham at 50K a year!!!! Good old Frankie Frisch the Fordham Flash! When I would walk into the Coaches office they have the wall of Fame and there was some very nice Frisch pieces in the glass cases.

I'm a Bostonian born and raised, the Rescue reads YFD

The login name is a tribute to some good friends assigned to FDNY 7 Truck (TL-7), lost on 9/11. A group of us worked and lived alongside the surviving members of that house that fateful week.

Take a look. The boys sell some pretty unique (and inexpensive) gear. By the time I was ready to change it, I realized there was a Rich Klein already on board and he is much more astute in vintage cards than myself, so rather than have confusion and get bombarded with questions I would be unable to answer I have stuck with RC and will probably continue to do so.

Enjoying the photos and the mystery regarding Manute!

(RC)

Posted By: J Levine
Last March. 1 hour north of Fairbanks, AL. We went to see the Northern Lights and we sure did. BTW, the air temp was -20 degrees F. But with a 20-30 MPH wind, the temp. was actually listed at -40 degrees F. Was only able to stay outside like that in full weather gear for about 5 minutes. The lights were amazing as was the trip taken with my three best guy friends. To stay on topic, I will say that I visited a card/comic shop there and bought a pack of cards just to say that I bought something at a Fairbanks card shop (they had nothing older than 1989).

Joshua

Posted By: J Levine
Here are a few more by request...
It was amazing the first one came out at all...setting up a tripod on a timer on a mountain in sub-sub zero temps with a 25 MPH wind and having to stand still for 45 seconds was actually harder than it looked.

This pic was taken on our first night and one of the few that I got with my own camera. Long exposure gave the snow that red sheen. I thought it was cool.

From my desktop background at home. This was taken by my friend Mitch on the second night of our trip. The water temp is spring-suit cool around here, and surprisingly even though it's not as cold as you mentioned in CA it still keeps the crowds pretty minimal. Although it could also be the fact that red tide has been plaguing our coast for 5 weeks or more now. Pretty rough, but I deal with it.

Good Waves > Respiratory Problems

Unfortunately when I think about surfing CA, Great Whites come to mind, that latest attack in Monterey (Todd Endris) was pretty gruesome, huh?! Then in HI you have your Tigers... surprisingly the county I surf in has more shark attacks annually than anywhere else in the world, but none have been fatal.

We did a camel ride as well and I was shocked at how much they smell if you pet them.

I also am part of the club that has stayed at The Peninsula in Hong Kong. I liked the message that comes on the TV screen when you shut it off at night so much that I even took a photo. I also think "The Peak" in HK has one of the most stunning views of any major city I have ever been to.

It averages out to setting down 1 block every 2 or 3 minutes for 20 or 30 years. Those slabs weigh thousands of tons each. They line up with true north and match star constellations. Aparently the pyramids line up exactly with Orions belt and the sphinx lines up with Leo at the same time in 10500 B.C :s Precisely what Edgar Cayce predicted too. I;ve always wanted to visit Egypt and see the pyramids and the sphinx

Posted By: Justin Fung
Mike and Jon,
You guys are really lucky to have stayed at the Penninsula. It has the best skyline view of any hotel I have ever been to. When I look out the window of my apartment, I just get a crap view of my neighbor's laundry line. But hey, less rent means more cards!
