Posted By: John Kalafarski
In the recently ended Memory Lane Auction, lot #225, 1933 Goudey Jimmy Foxx #29, went for $3,271 with the juice. SMR is $1,000. Yes it was very clean and bright, but. . . wow. Help from you Goudey people to answer this one for me, please.

Posted By: Marc S.
Maybe someone thought they could get it in a 7 holder? Hard to say -- as the price does seem anamolously high. In fact, if you look at the price history of Foxx cards, even the last PSA 7 that was sold by Memory Lane seemed to go for a huge price compared to historic data.

m

Posted By: Steve Murray
looking at the right hand border the card maybe looks a little trimmed? Maybe I should crack my SGC out and submit to PSA.

Posted By: Elliot
I thought the right hand border was ok, but the price was ridiculous, although I imagine if that card was resubmitted enough times it would eventually get a 7. Of course, I'd be worried about resubmitting without seeing the back, and wondering if the card was brightened by photoshop, as normally the low numbers are not that bright, due to the card stock.

Posted By: John Kalafarski
I've seen this card in person in an 8 and it was very bright. This card has that same eye appeal, but it looks like it has some spotting on the right border and corner issues (top right, esp.). Tough price. Rare bird, though.
