Posted By: Bill
Great card Brian. I've been dabbling (though not lately) in the Obak cards and that is one that I would just flat out love to have in my collection.

Can't say what my favorite card is. It seems every time I sit down just to go through my collection, I find something I forgot that I had. (Most of my collection is post-war)

Favorite card I have? No idea, nothing that's a big deal and seeing that I'm on the other side of the world right now, I can't even see my cards. Favorite card I don't own? Probably 1939 Play Ball Ted Williams simply because, well, it's Teddy Ballgame and I love the Sox.

Change your socks, drink water, and drive on.

Posted By: Eric Brehm
I gotta go with these two, which would be the last to go if I ever sold all my pre-war stuff. They seem to me like the quintessential cards of the period. I like the 1933 Goudeys too, but more as a set; in that case there's no single card that stands out as a favorite.

Archive
12-05-2007, 06:34 AM
Posted By: Joe D.
Thanks for the kind words.

I will cross it - but I am in no rush.

In person, it does look like a possible 7 or at the very least a strong 6.
I will not crack out this card - so I guess a 6 is more likely than a 7 (unless they don't mind giving it a grade bump on a cross).

It measures correctly, and I don't see any evidence of altering (but I am not a professional).

I want to do a same-day at-show cross....

I am hopeful that I will go to the National next year.
If so, I would look to cross it there.
