Posted By: JC
Still trying to figure this one out after hearing about it from a fellow collector this morning. Someone paying 100 grand for incomplete set of T207 in about EX condition raw....consisting of 190 cards and missing the most valuable 10 or so variations (Lowdermilk, etc)

If this deal really occurred, somebody spent at least twice as much as they should have. Maybe the economy is in better shape than I think it is?

I once KNOWINGLY paid nearly three times what a card was worth just because I wanted it and wanted it THEN. Fortunately it was only a 45.00 purchase

Why do you care what someone else spends their money on? Maybe they just wanted them, at that time. Just like you did on your $45 card. And responding by saying "it was only $45" wont justify it. Maybe $100k to him/her is like $45 to you and me, ever thought of that?

sorry but statements like that just take the fun out of this board.
