Posted By: Lee Behrens
Looking for a little help trying to track down all the possible Cycle 460's. I currently have 51 different and with these plus the data compilied by Bill Brown, Ted Z. and a few others I have narrowed down this list of possible backs but no evidence yet they exist. If you have any please let me know.

I think there is a good chance they are out there, since I actually knocked off 3 from the list in the last couple of weeks.

Bescher
Chance (batting)
Crandall (w/Cap)
Gandil
Griffith (batting)
Howell
Hummel
Konetchy (ball low)
Latham
Leifeld (batting)
Marquard (follow thru)
McQuillen (bat)
Oldring (bat)
Overall (hand at Face)
Pelty
Schaefer (Wash)
Seymour (throw)
Seymour (port)
Wilhelm (bat)

Thanks

Lee

Posted By: Jim Rivera
Lee,

I have Oldring with bat Cycle 460. I will have to check my records to your list but I think that is the only one I have.
That is pretty good -51 different-I think I have a dozen or so.

Posted By: Lee Behrens
Thanks for the responses so far. I don't know if there is some confusion in my original post but the cards I listed are the ones that I have NOT been able to confirm.

By the way I was the winner of the Geyer, very happy with the pickup.

The 2 cards I really wonder if they exist are the Crandall w/cap and Gandil. I was trying to get one of every back of the Crandall for quite a few years without ever obtaining or remembering seeing one and the Gandil I have watched for for about 4 or 5 years.

Lee

Posted By: Jim Rivera
Lee I collect those Giant portraits (sweater)from the 460 sreies. I am pretty sure there are 8 different and I have a Doyle Cycle 460 but can't recall ever seeing a Crandall.
I always wanted the Crandall with Red Hindu but was the under bidder on the last 2 that were on ebay and both went to board members.

Posted By: Richard Dwyer
Awhile back I took the info from the book "The Monster" and made a spreadsheet. I then sorted by Factories, etc. to produce a list of all back possibilities. This list has all the factories:

http://rdwyer.250free.com/T206Backs.html

Posted By: Ted Zanidakis
I had a Crandall (cap) some time ago (before I knew you were collecting these); so, it does exist.

My list shows Gandil confirmed....but, I can't find a record of it.

Anyhow, it appears to me that all T206 Subjects that can possibly be Cycle 460 cards were printed with this T-brand......
I do NOT expect to find any NO PRINTS in this sub-set.

350/460 series.....56 subjects
460-only series....48 subjects
Super Prints..........6 subjects

Total................110 cards with Cycle 460 backs

TED Z

Posted By: Ted Zanidakis
I recently acquired this Cycle 460 of Donlin. I'm trying to collect all the backs of the T206 Donlin cards.
And, I found this one to be quite tough.....which raises the question.....are some Cycle 460 subjects
tougher than others ?

TED Z

Posted By: Rick McQuillan
Ted, you raised a good question, but to take it one step farther, if some of the Cycle 460's are tougher, why are they tougher?

Richard, that is one heck of a list. Great job! I do have some questions:

1. How does your list compare with the lists that Ted has provided in previous posts? Are they similar?

2 If your lists show all of the possible combinations, do you know how many of each type has been confirmed?

Both of you guys amaze me. Thanks for all of the info.

Rick

Posted By: Richard Dwyer
I got my info from the book "The Monster" by Bill Heitman. Some have other info from others sources. I'm sure that there were mistakes that were found out later.

Posted By: Lee Behrens
Ted,

The Donlin may be tough because I have 3 of them. It does appear that some are tougher than others but I have not found that there appear to be any "super prints". It is not too often that a Cycle 460 goes by that I do not at least bid on. I always figure it does not hurt to have extras.

Lee

Posted By: Ted Zanidakis
I'm always checking out tougher T206 backs. I don't bid on the Cycle 460 ones, as I know you will.

Many more ebayers are identifying their T206's with tougher backs, than did a year ago. Are they
tuning in to our Net54 posts ?

Sounds like you are 1/2 the way on your Cyce 460 adventure....I will be looking for ones you need
at the Shows I attend or set-up at.

TED Z
