Posted By: Jantz
I have been lurking in the shadows & reading posts for some time now. I figured it was about time to make an account and maybe a few more friends. I've already met Leon ( at this year's National ). Leon struck me as a very nice guy & invited me to join the forum. Thanks again Leon. I would also like to thank the rest of the forum members for the wealth of knowledge shared in your posts. I have learned alot in the past few months. So "Hello to All". Jantz

Posted By: Jantz
Thanks for the nice comments

To answers your question:

Leon & Gilbert - I am currently working on a T206 Cleveland team set. In the picture is one of players I have already obtained.

RC - My favorite vintage card (for now) would have to be the T205 McGraw. It was a reward to myself for quitting smoking after 17 years. Instead of buying a pack of cigarettes everyday. I put the money aside & saved it for the National. Kind of a small goal achieved for me.

Hope the picture shows

Jantz

Posted By: Scott
Welcome!

So you prefer 100 year old tobacco instead to the current stuff? Of course, I'm just teasing....I'll take a nice looking McGraw over a pack of smokes any day.

Regards,
Scott

Posted By: barrysloate
Hi Jantz- a belated welcome to the board. Quitting cigarettes and applying the money to a vintage card is about the smartest move one can make. You should be proud!

Posted By: Ed Ivey
Hi Jantz. Despite my longtime interest in vintage cards, the knowledge on this board makes mine look like a kid's intrigue with the new shiny stuff. I'm really a newbie too. Stick around. I lurk more than post, but this is a fine site. I'm not an expert at anything, but I have a knack for spotting them. They're here.
