Specifically were...<br /><br />1) ...all series available in packs at the same time or were they issued chronologically according to series.<br /><br />2) ...all series distributed everywhere or were certain series restricted geographically in their dispersement (i.e. was series 6 "Blue Grass League" limited to Ohio, Kentucky, West Virginia area**). <br /><br />Any information would be appreciated. Posted By: <b>Frank Wakefield</b><p>I think it was your #2, Shawn.<br /><br />The few times I've encountered some of these cards and it seemed like it was a group that hadn't been "collected", but rather a group that was being "preserved" where some "collector" of a prior generation had collected them; in those situations it seemed to me that most of the cards were from the league nearest geographically.<br /><br />Of one bunch, found in Kentucky, I think just over half were series 6 cards.<br /><br />So my thinking is that about half of the cards were geographically placed. <br /><br />A half and half scheme would have "collectors" of the day aware of the other series. Which would have spurred additional collecting.<br /><br />What I wonder is if some Old Mill cigarette packages would of the day, early 1910, would have Red Border Mill cards (T210s), while other Old Mill cigarette packages would have Old Mill white border cards (T206s). Seems to me these cards were distributed at the same time...<br /><br />I'd like to hear from others about this, what are your thoughts?

I can tell you that the ATC was very good at distributing premiums to the appropriate locations, so it's a given that each series was targeted to the areas that the teams were located in. <br />I have 10-15 Old Mill ads from 1910, but none are for T210's, all are for T206's.
