Posted By: peter ullman
the e105's easy...the others...not so much!!! Definitely a worthwhile goal...but...on the other hand...the e99/e100 are pcl's and don't really fit with the rest. I'd skip em!!!

pete

Posted By: Dave F
Ha Leon...this is plenty enough of a challenge for someone that has problems not going in different directions every two weeks. But of course when you are the man that could easily take care of the E99, E100 and the E105 the challenge becomes what to offer you...my 401k? my next born (which has a 50/50 chance of being bow-legged like me)?

Posted By: boxingcardman
(122) 1915-1930s Multi-Sport Strip Card Lot with Boxing
Lot Number 768

Description

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Offered is a (122) card 1915-1930s multi-sport strip card lot with mostly boxing stars. This selection prominently showcases the exploits of various sports celebrities of the age. Cut in a rudimentary manner from strips issued in candy stores, these “W” series cards are all in off-grade. Comprising a variety of designations, there is moderate duplication found within. Degraded by creasing, errant scissor cutting, some writing on the reverses and other flaws, this group is noteworthy for the stature of its representatives. Highlighted are Boxing: (3) Beckett, (4) Britton, (8) Carpentier, (8) Dempsey, (6) Dundee, (5) Fulton, (4) Grebs, (5) Kilbane, (6) Leonard, (2) Moore, (2) O’Dowd, (4) Tendler, Villa, (2) Walker, Willard; Golf: (3) Sarazen; Tennis: (4) Tilden and Swimming: (4) Weismuller. For a complete list of included strip cards, please visit our website.

Boxing: Bartfeld, Battling Siki, (3) Beckett, Brennan, (4) Britton, (8) Carpentier, Cline, (8) Dempsey, (6) Dundee, Firpo, Flamier, (5) Fulton, Gibbons, (4) Grebs, Herman, F. Johnson, Kansas, Kaufman, (5) Kilbane, (6) Leonard, Lewis, Lynch, Miske (2) Moore, Moran, (2) O’Dowd, Stecher, (4) Tendler, Villa, (2) Walker, Willard, (2) Wills, Wilson, Zybysko, generic boxing; Golf: (5) Mallory, (3) Sarazen; Tennis: (4) Tilden; Swimming: (6) Wainwright, (4) Weismuller; Billiards: (7) Hoppe; Rowing: Hoover; Track: (3) Ray; Ice Skating: (6) Moore.

Posted By: Iggy
In my effort to corner the market on the non-glamorous cards. I won 2 of the 1936 Wide Pens/National Chicle/etc. lots (254 and 1262). I was real happy with what I paid for both lots.

I also won the lower grade Walter Johnson lot (#225). I paid a little more then I wanted; but so be it.

And finally, despite my best efforts, I struck-out on the T206 lots I was tracking (ended-up as the bridesmaid on 4 different T206 lots (#'s 223, 1996, 1229, 1230).

-Lovely Day, Iggy...
Posted By: Bob
Congrats Josh and Eric. Now I see where those E94s went. I thought I had the Dougherty locked away, Eric, but your final bid got me. With the juice I would have had to pay at least $600 for it, pricey for a PSA 3 common, and I have the feeling you would have gone higher.
Nice cards guys...
Anyone here win the lot of 8 E94s in lower condition? I would be interested in buying the gold Chance in F-G if you wanted to recoup some of your expenditure and I know a collector who would be interested in the G Bates also.
