Posted By: <b>T206Collector</b><p>I recently purchased a letter signed by Rube Marquard in which he said he was enclosing a card "of all the Players in the book." I assume he meant just one card featuring the 22 players in Ritter's book. Anyone ever seen this card or know what Rube was talking about?<br /><br />

Posted By: <b>jay wolt</b><p>I have that card too!<br />As well as a few other "Glory of their times" collectibles<br />The picture below of Rube Marquard is from the "Glory" record<br />album, I couldn't get all of the album on the scanner bed.<br />The checks are royalty checks from L. Ritter the author to<br />the players. To many, these royalty checks made a difference<br />to the players to help them along. Ritter stated on the audio<br />that Hans Lobert (as example)was in financial straits and didn't even have<br />a TV. So Ritter bought him one so Lobert could watch baseball games.<br /><br /><img src="http://www.qualitycards.com/pictures/checks5.jpg"><br /><br /><img src="http://www.qualitycards.com/ebay/marquardglory.jpg">

Posted By: <b>Vincent</b><p><br /><br />I was under the impression there were two distinctly different covers (Marquard and Cobb) for this album. I've seen plenty of the Marquard covers, but none of the Cobb variety. Does it exist ? And if so, is it safe to assume it is the scarcer of the two cover varieties, or is it due to regional distribution ? It would seem that the availability of the world-wide web would make regional distribution less significant a factor of availability.<br /><br />Thanks.

On one of the pages, he has personalized an autograph by his picture. I was also surprised to find Chief Meyers' O.B. tucked in the front of the book.<br /><br /><br /><img src="http://www.network54.com/Realm/tmp/1190393186.JPG"> <br /><br /><br />Patrick
